It's been over a year and a half since I played regularly (the people I played with have since dropped out of school or moved on to another), and this deck was built about 3 years ago and needs some updating, lol. Help a guy out. ;)

Aw I love playing w/ my friend's JLA/JLI powerup decks.
Well first off I'd go with 4 nth metals and 4 magnificent sevens, maybe even 4 shake it offs. If you're going to go with power-up might as well go all the way. You do have a lot of different characters to play at each cost, but there are a few I think you should definitely make room for.
(3) Shayera Hall Hawkwoman, Thanagarian Enforcer - Being able to search out Nth metals or the turn 4 Katar Hol is just awesome.
(4) Katar Hol Hawkman, Thanagarian Enforcer - Very beefy when equipped, searchable, and really helps your low cost guys attack up the curve.
(4) Dinah Laurel Lance Black Canary, "Pretty Bird" - I've had her save my ass a lot of times as well, especially against decks with a lot of hidden characters. She's not as useful on the defense, but oh well.
(5) Oliver Queen Green Arrow, Hard-Traveling Hero - I think he and (5) Martian Manhunter should be all you need for turn 5, although I do like firestorm's card drawing power. But Oliver can be great for defense.
(8) Martian Manhunter, Manhunter from Mars - Soooo awesome, but I guess you don't plan on getting to turn 8? Booooo.
I'd say maybe ditch the cost 7 Superman and put in the 6 for more attacking up-curve hijinx. And then add a Hal Jordan, Fearless to go along with Wonder Woman at 7.
If you're going for the 4-resource or less theme, let me steal some ideas from my friends deck.
You want 4x Nth Metas, 4x Kooey Kooey Kooey, 4x Bwahahaha, 4x Magnificent Seven, 4x World's Greatest Heroes, 4x Plasma Blast and 4x Trial by Fire.
So let's see what you can take out:
Staged Attack Task Force Membership Drive Shake it Off Teleport Tube Glass Jaw Roll Call Counterstrike Air Strike Signal Device Twin Fire Arms
Oh, and if you want to go Modern Age, Hall of Justice is always great!
Now character wise you are all over the place. Ideally, you want to either hit Blue Beetle and Booster Gold on the first two turns, or Sue Dibney and Maxwell Lord. The other turns should be Hawkwoman, Hawkman and Fire, ideally. The other characters could be whatever you have to fill in the gaps, but I am against Firestorm on five. Maybe you can run him on 4? The one from DCL, I mean. He is essentially Red Star.
